    The impact of free education on school attendance and labor market: Evidence from Ecuador

    An econometric framework using a cohort variation strategy caused by an educative reform in Ecuador to estimate the impact of free education on college attendance, high school graduate and labor force for young. Results indicate that there is no significant evidence on college attendance but the probability to graduate from high school has increased especially for race minorities and families without college background. Finally it reflects that the increment in inactivity for young is due to a change in the trade-off between studying and being in labor force rather than an increment in neet (no studying, no working).
